After a brief meeting, with Sister Irene Percoski standing in as President, we headed off on a mystery ride. The first leg of our ride took us to Ellington Center Historical District. Sister Claudia Markowski, exploring the Green, noted a tree with a plaque erected by Ellington Grange in 1967, commemorating the Connecticut Constitutional Convention of 1902. Some of our members remember visiting Ellington Grange, back in the day. The second leg of our Mystery Ride took us to Kloter Farms Ice Cream, where we enjoyed delicious ice cream and wonderful Grange fellowship.
August brings us back to our annual Potluck Dinner before our meeting. The weather will dictate if we meet at Strong Farm or in the air-conditioning of our hall. Please join us, but be sure to check where you can find us picnicking.
