Oct. 11: Line Dancing with free chili and cornbread (6-8:30 PM)

Oct. 18 (Tues): Next Grange meeting at 7 PM at the Grange

On September 12 we held our monthly meeting at the Grange with lots of items to discuss.

We are getting better at recognizing how each member is helping in their community and will be working at keeping track of our hours and activities each month.  Pat Tarca brought us up to date on the Family Activities celebration held in August at Granby Grange. She is certainly keeping very busy with all of the work she does for local and State Granges. After talking through financial information we applauded the efforts of a local contractor in the pruning of our shrubs surrounding our building and painting the Grange hall. The building looks wonderful! We are also revamping our weathered staircase and making it safer and more stable for all our visitors. We are thrilled to have this work done! Thanks to Grange member, Susan Masino, for recommending this particular contractor. We also finalized several resolutions being sent in for the State Session in October.

And... our local celebrity among line dancing fans, Mary Root, is back! Our April line dance event was so popular, we had to do another! Please join us on Friday, Oct. 11 at 6 PM for free chili and cornbread and then meet us upstairs at 7 PM to show off your line dance moves. Don’t worry if you haven’t ever done this type of dancing. Mary is an excellent teach and you’ll get lots of practice. Be ready for lots of fun!

Last but not least, we have a few more community members interested in joining our Grange and have invited them to next month’s meeting.
