COVID-19 Update: Granges Can Meet with Specific Guidelines

As the Fourth of July approaches, the State of Connecticut is just starting to open up more businesses and churches. It is time that we should think about opening our Grange Halls for meetings.

June 2020 News from Mountain Laurel Pomona No. 15

I wish there was more for us to report this month as Pomona has not been able to meet in-person or virtually. Our Secretary, Carol Jean Swanson, does a great job of sending out notes to members whenever there is something new to be known.

Time-sensitive opportunity to support local farms!

Simsbury Grange wrote a grant that was approved through Sustainable CT to fund apprentices for local farmers. We need to get this funded ASAP to get the apprentices working and also the matching money may run out.

CWA Judging Cancelled

The decision was made by the New England Grange Building committee at the Big-E that this years' Needlework Contests are cancelled. Due to this decision, we will cancel the judging at Beacon Valley Grange Hall in August.

May 2020 News from Mountain Laurel Pomona No. 15

From Master Peter Keefe - Reluctantly, we must cancel the plans for both the Fifth Degree Rehearsal and the Degree. As of now, the June meeting is ON unless the State Master cancels Grange activities or the Governor decrees quarantines of groups.
